Controversies of Aamir Khan

Right before his film 'Fanaa' was to hit theatres Aamir had a run-in with the BJP-run Gujarat when he pledged his support to the rehabilitation of the poor families who were to be usureped from their homes, because of the construction of Sardar Sarovar Dam on Narmada river. It was not viewed in a good light by the Gujarat government and the release of the film was banned in the state.
