Censor Board chops off scenes from

Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor starrer 'Singham Returns' hit theatres on India's 68th Indiependence Day. Before the release of the film, the makers of this Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor starrer have deleted certain scenes from the movie which were found to be objectionable by a right-wing Hindu organisation. According to the sources, before 'Singham Returns' was granted a 'U/A' (suitable for children accompanied by parents) cerificate, the makers were asked to delete some important religious references relating to both the majority and minority community. The decision was taken after members of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) met movie director Rohit Shetty, Devgn and creative director Ashok Pandit in Mumbai on August 4, 2014. HJS leaders had condemned the movie after its trailer depicted a saint as villain.
