DDLJ's 1009-week run at Maratha Mandir ends

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's 1995 iconic love saga "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayeinge" has ended its uninterrupted 1009-week glorious run at the Maratha Mandir theatre here. The Raj-Simran romance, which has captivated the imagination of various generations and been an inspiration to many other romantic ventures on big and small screen, had its last show today at 9.15 in the morning. The production house said it was becoming difficult for the theatre to accommodate multiple new releases every week with three regular shows.
