Movie review: Ten reasons to watch

The first film of 2016, 'Wazir' hit theatres on Friday, January 8. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh is directed by Bejoy Nambiar. 'Wazir' tells the story of Danish Ali (Farhan Akhtar), an ATS cop who is grieving his daughter Noorie's death, who died in a gun-fire exchange between him and some terrorists. His wife Ruhana (Aditi Rao Hydari) blames him for losing their daughter and severs all ties with him. Danish, who was on the verge to commit suicide defers his decision after meeting Panditji (Amitabh Bachchan), a paralyzed chess grandmaster. Panditji asks Danish to investigate the real reason behind his 22 year old daughter’s death. She is claimed to have died after falling from the staircase at Welfare Minister Izaad Qureshi’s residence. Panditji suspects that it is a murder and soon Danish hops onto this investigation. And the story revolves around Danish planning moves to unveiling the secret behind Panditji’s daughter's mysterious death.
