The film is about Hindu Brahmin boy Kundan (Dhanush) who fell in love with a Muslim girl Zoya (Sonam Kapoor) from his locality in Banaras. Zoya is the only child of her professor father. She is very much loved and a lot of freedom has been given to her. A
