Dilip Kumar whose 92nd birthday was born on December 11, 1922 in Peshawar in undivided India. It was a bitter cold night and the street next to the street where the Khans lived was engulfed by a fire that erupted in a goldsmith’s workplace. When he was five years old a wandering fakir who came asking for alms saw him playing with other kids in the courtyard of his house and he gave a prediction about the boy that he would become a world famous personality and “the noor of Allah” would shine on his face even when he grew to ripe old age. But, the fakir warned Yousuf’s doting grandmother, he would have to be protected from the evil eye of ill-wishers. If he was not protected he could die a premature death.
