Navratri 2017: Goddess Kalratri worshiped on seventh day
The auspicious nine-day long Navratri festival began on March 28 and the seventh manifestation of Devi Durga, Goddess Kalratri, is worshiped today. Navratri is celebrated to worship nine different forms of Goddess Durga - Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Maha Gauri and Siddhidatri.This form of Goddess Durga is addressed as Kalratri. Goddess Kalratri complexion is dark black and She rides on a donkey. She is depicted with four hands. Her right hands are in Abhaya and Varada Mudra and She carries sword and the deadly iron hook in her left hands.
