Two ABVP activists have been arrested here on charges of attacking AISA members at Delhi University, the police said on Wednesday.
A police statement said Prashant Mishra, President of the Students Union at Sri Venkateswara College, and Vinayak Sharma, also from the same college, were taken into custody on Tuesday night.
They were identified on CCTV footage armed with belts and attacking members of the Leftwing All India Students Association outside the Ramjas College during a protest on February 22.
The arrests came hours after thousands of students marched through Delhi University to denounce the violence blamed on the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
