Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Monday meet the Finance Ministry to discuss and review the recent financial status.
In the meeting, Modi will also review the initiatives put in by the Revenue Department to crack down on the circulation of black money in the economy.
The PM will also evaluate the preprations and progress on the Goods and Service Tax (GST) by the finance ministry. The GST is scheduled to launch on July 1.
Hasmukh Adhia, the Financial Services Secretary, will highlight the work done by the department in the last fiscal year and will also showcase the financial structure made by the ministry for the year 2017-18.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and both the Minister of State - Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Arjun Ram Meghwal - will also attend the meeting.
Apart from them, heads of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) will also attend the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister.Saharasamay Desk For Latest Updates Please-
