Thunderstorms, squalls and gusty winds are likely to hit many parts of India including Delhi till Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday.
The IMD said the states likely to be affected by thunderstorms and storm on Wednesday were Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala.
Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka may such weather till Friday, an IMD bulletin said. It also warned of thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand over the next two days.
