Coronavirus: Total tally stands at 5,274 in India; 149 dead Last Updated : 09 Apr 2020 05:07:11 AM IST Coronavirus: Total tally stands at 5,274 in India; 149 dead The total tally of novel coronavirus cases in India reached up to 5,274 on Wednesday, according to the Union Health Ministry. As per the Ministry data, of the total number, 4,714 are active cases, 149 are dead, one has migrated, while 410 people have been discharged after recovery.
Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary Union Health Ministry, said that 773 coronavirus cases and 32 deaths have been recorded since Tuesday.
According to the data, Maharashtra has the highest number of cases, 1018. Tamil Nadu has 690 cases, Delhi has reported 576 cases.
In Kerala there are 336 cases, while in Telangana, there are 427 cases and Andhra Pradesh has reported 305 cases.
Madhya Pradesh has 229, Uttar Pradesh has 343 and Rajasthan has 328 as of Wednesday evening.
In the North-East, Assam has the most number of cases -- 27. Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Tripura each have 1 case while Manipur has 2.
As per the Health Ministry data, States and UTs which have reported COVID-19 cases are Gujarat (165), Haryana (147), Jammu and Kashmir (116), Karnataka (175), West Bengal (99), Punjab (91), Bihar (38), Uttarakhand (31), Odisha (42), Himachal Pradesh (18), Ladakh (14), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (10), Chandigarh (18), Chhattisgarh (10), Goa (7), Puducherry (5) and Jharkhand (4).IANS New Delhi For Latest Updates Please-
