A fire broke out at Shastri Bhawan complex in New Delhi on Monday morning. Four fire tenders have reached the spot.

Rescue operation is underway.

It is still not known what caused the fire at Shastri Bhawan, which is named after late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

No reports of casualties or injuries have emerged so far.
 

Shastri Bhawan complex houses several ministries and its officials including Human Resources Development, Law and Justice, Information and Broadcasting, Corporate Affairs, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Culture, Women and Child Development etc apart from offices for Ministries of Education, Petroleum, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Youth Affairs, Family welfare etc.
