The development assumes significance after a survey of traders carried out by the confederation showed that a majority of respondents favour closure of markets to stop the spread of Covid-19.CAIT had sought the opinion of 2,800 trade associations and prominent trade leaders of Delhi.Out of this some 2,610 responses were received.CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said the confederation had sought the opinion of Delhi Trade Associations through an online survey on whether or not to keep Delhi markets open in the wake of the rapid increase in corona cases.Besides, the confederation has also sent a communication to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri, Delhi LG Anil Baijal and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal sharing concerns of Delhi traders on the rapid spread of Covid-19.CAIT had sought time for a meeting to apprise them about the seriousness of the issue among business community while urging for their immediate intervention.IANS New Delhi For Latest Updates Please-
