Rains across Himachal Pradesh on early Monday brought down mercury by two to three notches, weather officials said. The weather department has forecast thundershowers at isolated places in the state till Wednesday.
Shimla and nearby areas saw moderate showers. "The entire state saw a good spell of rain, bringing the temperatures down considerably," an official of the meteorological office here told media.
Shimla recorded a maximum of 22.4 degrees Celsius as against Sunday's high of 26.5 degrees.
Likewise, the day temperature at Dharamsala stood at 30.8 degrees Celsius, while it was 14.2 degrees in Kalpa in Kinnaur district and 37 degrees, the highest in the state, in Una town.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest in the state with a low of 4.4 degree Celsius, whereas the maximum was 15 degrees. It saw 9 m of rain.
Picturesque tourist resort saw 20.2 mm of rainfall, while Bharwain in Una district recorded state's highest rainfall at 75 mm.IANS For Latest Updates Please-
