Haryana Assembly clears GST Bill Last Updated : 04 May 2017 05:57:09 PM IST file photo
The Haryana Assembly on Thursday passed the Goods and Services Tax Bill at a special session of the state legislature.
The special session of the assembly was convened to discuss the GST Bill and several other important issues.
The Congress legislators, however, walked out of the House as Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar did not accede to their demand of making a statement on the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue.
Some Congress members also raised objections to certain parts of the GST Bill.
Haryana, being ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party since October 2014, is the eighth state to pass the GST Bill.
