Pakistani security forces seized a huge cache of weapons and explosives in the northwest tribal region of Orakzai Agency on Friday.
The security forces conducted an operation on receiving secret information and raided a house in the lower part of Orakzai Agency, one of Pakistan's seven mountainous tribal regions located near the Pakistan-Afghan border, Xinhua news agency reported.
During the search of the house, the security forces found 48 rockets, 50 missiles, rocket launchers, anti-tank mines, 12 rocket-propelled grenades and ready-to-use bombs. Hundreds of live bullets and two wireless sets were also confiscated from the site.
Militants reportedly hid the weapons before fleeing the house.
The security personnel launched another search operation in the adjoining areas for further seizures.
A day before, 20 militants were arrested during multiple operations in Balochistan. Several hand grenades, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and communication equipment were found in their possession.
